SUPERINTENDENT

Martel Construction, Inc. will be evaluating candidates to serve as a Construction Superintendent to work in our Kalispell, MT market. Our firm, founded in 1960, provides construction services from offices in Bozeman, Bigfork, and Missoula, MT. We are capable and seek to self-perform significant elements of most of our projects. A 25,000 square foot state-of-the-art millwork shop in Missoula supports the entire company.
Essential Job Functions:
•Lead and manage the on-site construction team including Martel personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
•Proactively plan for, support, and enforce safety policies and procedures.
•Coordinate all job site logistics and ensure organization and cleanliness are always maintained.
•Monitor and ensure quality expectations are met or exceeded.
•Produce and assist in short-range and overall schedules.
•Assist with procurement of tools, equipment, personnel, and materials.
•Monitoring and ensuring compliance with other protocols for storm water and other environmental protection programs as required.
•Plan and communicate both daily and long-term tasks to everyone working on site.
•Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers so they are on site when needed.
•Other supervisory tasks as required to complete projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

•All team members may be asked to perform duties and functions outside of their normal responsibilities to assist the company from time to time.
•Superintendents are sometimes required to travel for work, primarily in western Montana.
Qualifications:
•5+ years of experience as a construction superintendent.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
•Proficiency in Bluebeam and Procore.
•Must be able to operate typical office technology, such as a computer, copier, printer, calculator.
•Demonstrated excellence in communication and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
•Work at construction job sites, during all stages, in all types of weather conditions.
•Must be able to speak & hear detailed information through oral communication.
•Must be able to see clearly and recognize small details.

•Compensation is competitive DOE.
