What is Powerball Double Play Florida? ›

Double Play is an add-on feature that gives players in select jurisdictions another chance to match their Powerball numbers in a separate drawing with a top cash prize of $10 million. Players can add the Double Play feature to their Powerball ticket for an additional $1 per play.

Double Play enters a player's Powerball numbers into a second drawing for only an extra $1. This opportunity provides the chance to win even more prizes, up to $10 MILLION! The Double Play drawing occurs immediately after the Powerball drawing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

A player who purchases a FLORIDA LOTTO ticket with the Double Play option uses the same FLORIDA LOTTO Base Game Numbers and Multiplier printed on the ticket to play and match the official Double Play Winning Numbers drawn in a separate Double Play Drawing.

Matching two numbers won't win anything in Powerball unless one of the numbers is the Powerball. A ticket matching one of the five numbers and the Powerball is also worth $4. Visit powerball.com for the entire prize chart.

Black balls (Double Play): The first five numbers on your ticket can match with any of the first five numbers drawn in the Double Play drawing, in any order. Power Play multiplies non-jackpot prizes. By adding Power Play for $1 per ticket, a multiplier of 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X (or 10X when the jackpot is $150 million or less) is randomly selected on your ticket. Double Play is an additional drawing following the Powerball drawing.

A double play occurs when two offensive players are ruled out within the same play. It's often referred to as "a pitcher's best friend" because it's twice as helpful toward his cause as any given out. Double plays can be made in any number of ways, but the most common form is on a ground ball with a runner on first.

If you match two of the main numbers and the Powerball, you'll win $7. The same is true if you match three of the main numbers. Matching three main numbers and the Powerball or four main numbers, that's a $100 payout. To land a $50,000 prize, you'll have to match four main numbers and the Powerball.

Do I have to match the numbers in the exact order drawn? Powerball® tickets print the white ball numbers in numerical order of a given play. You can match the white ball numbers in any order of a given play to win a prize. The red Powerball number of a given play on your ticket must match the red Powerball drawn.

However, you could win a prize with just one winning number plus two supplementary numbers. For Double Your Win draws, any entry that scores a prize in divisions two through six will have their prize money automatically doubled.

If the player matches just two winning numbers, he/she wins a free FLORIDA LOTTO ticket for the next available draw. Players may choose to receive their portion of the FLORIDA LOTTO jackpots in a one-time Cash Option payment or in 30 annual payments.

A “Straight and 4-way box” play pays a winner $3,099 if a player's digits as printed on the player's ticket match, in exact order, the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing, or $599 if the player's digits match, in any other order, the official PICK 4 winning numbers for the drawing.
